Center for The Study of Political Psychology (CSPP)
Located in the department, the CSPP draws on faculty and students from eight departments. Dedicated to the establishment of a strong research community of social scientists focused on theoretical advancement as well as application, CSPP provides support for interdisciplinary research programs and provides access to the Social Cognition Lab, a Video Editing Lab and a subjects lab for conducting research.
Center for Democracy and Citizenship
Located in the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, this center is commited to the investigation and promotion of democracy and the strengthening of citizenship and civic education within a variety of settings.
Political Economy Colloquium
The colloquium brings most recent work employing game-theoretic modeling and statistical analysis in American Politics, International Relations, International Political Economy, Comparative Politics, and Political Methodology. Check out our fall schedule.
The Center for the Study of Politics and Governance
The Center sponsors research seminars and conferences that bring together researchers, policy makers, and other important participants in the political and governing process including the media. The Center helped sponsor seminars by Larry Bartels, John Ferejohn, Don Green and others as well as host conferences on polling and campaigns, redistricting, and Medicare reform. The Center is directed by Lawrence Jacobs, Mondale Chair.
Minnesota International Relations Colloquium
Minnesota International Relations Colloquium (MIRC) is a series of seminars organized by graduate students of International Relations. Since 1997, MIRC has served as an interdisciplinary forum in which students and faculty can present work, exchange ideas, and engage in conversations about theoretical and practical issues pertaining to international and global politics.
