Summer Tuition Reimbursement
If you are an instructor during the summer, you are eligible for partial to full tuition reimbursement for summer courses (or thesis credits). The number of credits you are eligible for depends on the amount of your appointment. For instance, teaching a 3-credit class gives you a 38% appointment, which pays for four graduate credits. Teaching a 4-credit class would give you a 50% appointment, and full-time tuition credit. You should contact the accountant to find out what percentage your appointment is, and then Human Resources can tell you how many credits you can have covered.
You will need to fill out an application for summer tuition. Info is available on the web at http://www1.umn.edu/ohr/gae/summer.html. Please read all of their rules and restrictions carefully.
