Department of Political Science

We are pleased to announce that Joan Tronto is joining our faculty as Professor of Political Theory in the fall, 2009. Professor Tronto's membership on faculty will, in itself, greatly strengthen the field of political theory at Minnesota, as her work on the politics and ethics of care is agenda-setting, as are her contributions to feminist political theory. Moreover, she will help lead a rebuilding of that field to return Minnesota to a position of its traditionally high professional standing.
