About MIRCMinnesota International Relations Colloquium (MIRC) is a series of informal seminars and presentations organized by University of Minnesota graduate students of International Relations. Since 1997, MIRC has served as an on-going forum for Minnesota students and faculty, and guests from other colleges and universities, to participate in academically informed and political engaged conversations about theoretical and practical issues pertaining to international and global politics. MIRC serves as a forum in which new ideas can be constructively exchanged and discussed in a setting in which faculty and graduate students participate as peers. MIRC is intentionally interdisciplinary and draws on scholars from different subfields within Political Science as well as from various departments within the University of Minnesota, local colleges, and guest presenters. In addition to featuring the work of distinguished scholars in Minnesota, the U.S., and abroad, MIRC maintains an emphasis on the promising work of graduate students. See the schedule and past papers for information on future and past presentations. |
